Help us give animals a brighter future

Become an Animal Sponsor at Potoroo Palace

Every animal has a story.

Many arrived here needing a second chance. Some have grown up in human care. Others can never return to the wild. But whatever their story, they have found something special at Potoroo Palace: a place where they are cared for, protected and given a home for life.

Potoroo Palace is more than a wildlife sanctuary. It is a community of people who believe that every animal matters, that Australia's unique wildlife deserves a future, and that caring for nature begins with the lives we touch.

By becoming an animal sponsor, you help us continue that promise.

Your support contributes towards the care of our resident animals and helps us keep this special place alive for the animals who depend on us.

You don't have to change the whole world to make a difference. You can start with one life.

Choose an animal, become part of their story

Whether you are sponsoring an animal for yourself, giving a meaningful gift to someone you love, or bringing your business closer to a cause that matters, your support helps make a difference.

Choose your level of sponsorship and help us continue giving our animal family the care and protection they deserve.

Serena’s Story

I’ve been living here since 2011

I was rescued and hand-raised by a wildlife carer after my mum sadly passed away when I was only five months old, following a dog attack.

Because I was raised around humans from such a young age, it was decided that I wouldn’t be able to survive if released back into the wild. Potoroo Palace became my forever home.

Over the years, I’ve tried living in a few different areas of the sanctuary. At one point, I was given the opportunity to free-roam with kangaroos and emus in a large open space.

I loved exploring… but the emus were a bit too scary for my liking! I quickly realised that my enclosure is where I feel safest and happiest. I love relaxing in the sun with my other swampy friends.

Hope’s Story

Hi, I'm Hope!
The adventurous koala.

I'm probably one of the most adventurous koalas you'll ever meet!

When I was younger, I loved exploring and surprising my keepers. I became quite famous for my enormous leaps and my determination to investigate places I wasn't supposed to go.

One of my biggest adventures took me all the way to the Wombat Enclosure!

Tippy’s Story

I love making new friends and getting treats!

My journey started as a tiny joey, abandoned by my unprepared mother. Thankfully, my keeper Michele nurtured me with love, allowing me to grow into a happy, healthy and energetic adult potoroo at Potoroo Palace.

I thrive in this special environment, love my friends (especially Bill the Cockatiel) and enjoy connecting with visitors. Now, I serve as an ambassador for potoroos, educating others about my unique relatives and the importance of protecting them.

Paddy’s Story

Built like a potato, but has the confidence of a tank

I was found as an orphaned wombat after losing my mum. Like so many rescued native animals, I couldn't simply be returned to the wild. Thanks to the dedication of wildlife carers and the support of Potoroo Palace, I found a safe forever home here.

Today, you'll often find me doing what I love most-enjoying my favorite snacks, digging burrows, and showing off my adorable chunky and cheeky face.

Max’s Story

I'm an old pet... well, old-ish.

If I'm honest, I don't really know how old I am. I've heard people say I'm over 35? Could be! We can live up to 100, you know... so l might just be a young fella still!

When I was a pet, my owner was very kind and always did his best to make sure I was comfortable. But I never really learned how to fly, since I spent 30 years in a small cage. So I got used to being in small spaces and now enjoy a cosy, safe habitat at Potoroo Palace where I can chat to my other bird friends and the visitors.

Django and Nalah’s Story

We enjoy going for walks in the bush!

We lost the only home we had ever known after our owner lost his property following the hardships of COVID-19.

We are often misunderstood, persecuted, and left with nowhere safe to go. At Potoroo Palace, they are committed to giving rescued dingoes like us permanent care, dignity, and safety.

Every animal has a story. You can help shape their future.
